How to Find Uno
A Field Guide by Molly & Sosta
Watch a sunrise all the way through.
Sit somewhere beautiful until you stop checking the time.
Talk to an old person and actually listen.
Leave your phone alone for an entire afternoon.
Walk barefoot on sand, grass, or dirt.
Spend time with people who don't need you to be anyone else.
Notice when you're rushing and ask, “Why?”
Eat food with other people around a table.
Learn the names of a few birds.
Stop trying to win every conversation.
Watch the moon for a month and notice it never really changes.
Do something for no practical reason whatsoever.
Sit beside the ocean and tell it your problems. (The ocean won't fix them, but you'll feel better.)
Dance badly.
Laugh loudly.
Forgive yourself for being human.
Spend less time proving yourself and more time being yourself.
Find a feather, pick it up and place it in the bark of a nearby tree.
Remember that not everything needs to be fixed.
Remember that not everything needs to be understood.
Remember that not everything needs to be earned.
Notice that trees seem perfectly happy just being trees.
Notice that children rarely worry about becoming enough.
If completely lost, return to the sea and start again.
Realise Uno was never hiding from you.
Come home.
